School’s Out—->So, Have a Coke & a Smile :)
School’s Out…. Shew, we made it through the school year! Praise Jesus!
So proud of both of our kids passing onto the next grades! Way to go Amber & Brandon!!!!
As a celebration we decided to take our kids to Atlanta…
First stop, Stone Mountain Park… It’s becoming apparent that we enjoy this place… I must say the employees there are amazingly friendly! While at the park, we went to “ride the ducks” again.. The drivers apparently get to make their own cd recordings to play during the ride, interesting… Our driver looked exactly like Santa Claus 😉 so I told Amber she should tell him what she wants for Christmas lol… Anyways, Brandon drove the duck while we were on the lake. But… When we got back to the park, before we got off, the driver made references to saving the Quakers (duck callers) for Christmas morning… Then he played ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’ … Oh my goodness if you could’ve seen Amber’s face! So she told him she wanted bacon for Christmas.. Brandon had asked her to… Yes, I took their picture with him 🙂
Next stop, Fernbank Museum of Natural History & IMAX… What an incredible place this is!!! We Loved it!!! Can you say Dinosaurs, Dinosaurs, Dinosaurs!!! I Love Dinosaurs!!! When I was a little girl my favorite book was ‘Danny and the Dinosaur’….. We saw live alligators.. Snakes… Etc… The kids got to do an experiment at Excellent Experiments there and we learned ‘ the scoop on poop’… Did you know that they use elephant poop to make stationary now?! Yep, sure do… Look it up… then the IMAX movie was ‘to the artic’…. That was really awesome! An experience all by itself…
We found this great Historical Covered Bridge called, Stone Mountain Covered Bridge also known as Effie’s Bridge… Beautiful!
And then, on to The StarLight Six Drive In…. Avengers!!!! We love when Good wins over evil!!!! Because Good( Jesus) ALWAYS Wins over evil (the enemy)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
During the movie, Thomas looked up and saw a shooting star… We saw one last year together 😉 what does seeing a shooting star mean? Answer: The person with whom you have seen the shooting star is your soul mate, your ultimate destiny 😉 Absolutely True!!!!!
Lastly but of course not least of all… We went to the World of Coca Cola… I was surprised to learn all the history behind coke… We saw old memorabilia, had a security check….They had an awesome pair of 70’s Coca Cola pants— I want them!!!! Please get them for me 🙁 …… We got our picture taken with the Coca Cola Polar Bear… We don’t have the professional picture of Thomas and I but it was hilarious! The Polar Bear covered Thomas’ head with his mouth by surprise lol!!!!! Haha
Then we took pictures throughout the place… We saw a 4D movie on finding the secret formula 😉 aaaannnddddd
We got to taste test over 65 different flavors of coke drinks and teas from all over the world!!!! You MUST try The Beverly from Italy ….. My favorites… Fanta Pineapple soda from Greece, Mr Pibb Extra Cherry & Mr Pibb Extra Cherry Vanilla ….
So this was quite an experience for me …. Coke is NOT my favorite … For years I’ve watched the TV blind taste tests and commercials… I have to be honest… I did enjoy the whole Coca Cola place and I do enjoy a couple of coca cola beverages … But myself,
I am a Pepsi Cola girl!!!!! After all… I am, “The Pepsi Generation” Capisci?!
