The Last Hoorah of Summer
The last Hoorah before school starts. ..
So this weekend ended summer vacation for our kids… I believe they had a great summer.
We had purchased several school supplies and things for the kids and gave it to them along with some great sweet treats. And as an extra surprise; we decided to celebrate and have a last Hoorah by going over to Asheville. . We went to the Arboretum and walked around some of the trails. . It was a beautiful day for it. Then from there we went to eat at a local favorite the kids enjoy, Papas & Beer. Then we finished off the evening with ice cream treats for everyone! I know they had a blast as we were again singing The Brady Bunch songs. .. “keep on moving”… lol… It might sound cheesy but when I look back and see our kids singing and acting silly, enjoying life… well that makes everything worth it…
The next day Thomas had to work so the kids and I had a fun day together- all day! Our day began with Starbucks… Amber had her first gourmet coffe drink- I’m so proud! Off to run some errands and next stop Johnny Brusco’s for Pizza. …. And was it ever good. … Then I surprised them by going to Office Depot for more school stuff and goodies. .Amber got her picture taken with abandoned giant poster of One Direction while Brando decided to pick out some special things. … I mean it’s his Senior year after all so that calls for special things. .. Next stop Rita’s Ice where we enjoyed a nice sweet treat….Yummy yummy… Next a trip to the park for walking and fun…. Last stop Wally World ( walmart)…. For groceries and another suprise… Amber got a new backpack & Brando got a special Pioneers shirt. …that’s his school..David Crockett High School. ..We ran into amber’s friend angel & one of Brandon’s teachers…. craziness… So I’d say that the last Hoorah was a success…… One in 8th grade and one who is a senior wow, how time flies and tbings change. They both are growing up & maturing into wonderful young people. They’ve come a long way in a short time…. I’m blessed to get to be a part of their lives. I can’t wait to see what other great blessings Jesus has in store for them! Hoorah!!!!!
