Brando Graduates David Crockett High School May 24th 2014
Saturday morning we all got up early to make sure we were at DCHS by 7am to get the best seat to see Our Brando graduate. After walking around the Pioneer gym, we finally found the perfect seats. Slowly the gym filled with parents and family excited to see their loved ones graduate too.
For Brando, this was a momentous occasion. He had a mixture of nervousness and excitement. But as soon as he was reunited with his classmates, all nervousness flew away and was replaced with “Great Joy” as he so eloquently stated.
Seeing Our Brando obtain this diploma was a dream come true for all of us. Even better for us to see his classmates rejoicing with him and encouraging Brando to keep in touch with them. Afterwards we stayed around to take pictures. While we were doing so, here came Mr Hare running over to once again congradulate Brando and to thank us for the letters and newspaper article. Mr Hare stated, “I am deeply humbled by such honor and gracious words..” …. What an amazing man Mr Hare is!
Later we went out to eat to celebrate Brando and continued the celebration on sunday afternoon with a cookout party filled with cards, presents, & cash..cold hard cash! Lol.
Finally we ended our celebration with roasting marshmellows in the firepit.
It was our desire to make Brando feel special and know just how very proud we are him. I believe he felt this as his prayer to Jesus that evening reflected his gratitude. We are so very proud of Brando in his accomplishments academically as well as in his personal growth with Jesus… Brando WE LOVE YOU!
